Cylinder 4 Deactivation/Intake Valve Control Circuit/Open

The intake valve control circuit for cylinder 4 has an open or disconnected wire, preventing the solenoid from receiving commands to deactivate the cylinder. This breaks the fuel-saving cylinder deactivation system for that cylinder. The vehicle will consume more fuel and the check engine light will illuminate.
